The Washington Post reported a news event about an American cancer patient receiving gene drug treatment in Beijing and achieving good results.

  • Weissenborn Richard, 64, has traveled to Beijing three times to receive the Chinese gene-therapy treatment. He's a believer in the drug and is angry it is not available in the United States.

"If I died today, I have already prolonged my life and have a quality of life that I could not have with any other cancer treatment," he said.

After one course of gene therapy treatment, PET/CT re-examination confirmed that the primary tumor at the base

of the tongue shrank by 90%, and the metastatic tumor in the lymph nodes of the neck had disappeared completely.
